Mount Elbert, the highest point in Colorado can be reached by three different hiking trails. The 360° panoramas featured here are from South Mount Elbert Trail, considered the easiest way to the top. The trailhead is on a dirt road that turns off of Highway 82 near Twin Lakes, Colorado. We hit the trail at about 7:30; considered late by climbing standards. We reached the summit at 1:00 after climbing roughly 4000 feet in just under five miles. Please click the images to view interactive panoramas from our climb to Mount Elbert.
